What is the GYEON Q²M Polish polishing pad? The GYEON Q²M Polish polishing pad is a soft to medium foam pad for rotary and dual-action machines – built for fine correction and gloss refinement with Q²M Polish, sitting between the correction step and the final finishing pass.

In the GYEON pad line-up, the Q²M Polish pad sits between correction and finishing – softer than the Cut pad, but still a touch more aggressive than the Finish pad. Paired with Q²M Polish you get a single pass that does the fine correction (light compound holograms) and builds gloss at the same time.

After the polishing step, check the result under a halogen or LED work lamp: fine holograms are much harder to spot in direct sunlight than under artificial raking light.

In a three-stage polish the Polish pad takes the middle slot: Heavy Cut pad + Q²M Compound+ for heavy defects → Q²M Polish pad + Q²M Polish for fine correction and the first round of gloss → Finish pad + Q²M Polish for the final refinement. The Polish pad knocks the Compound+ holograms back and already does most of the gloss work – which leaves the closing finish step as a short but important tidy-up.

Pad care and service life

Look after the Q²M Polish pad and it lasts. Clean it with a pad brush under running water after every polishing session. The finer foam structure of the Polish pad (softer than Heavy Cut or Cut) takes heavy loading less well – when the machine work gets brutal, switch to firmer pads and spare the Polish pad. Dry it flat, and never store it compressed.
